Whitefish Bay hit its first three shots from the field and leads Merrill, 13-10 at the end of the first quarter in the WIAA State D2 championship game in Madison.
Jamie Schneck had four points in the quarter and reserve center Jack Beck hit a bucket at the buzzer to give the Blue Dukes their lead.
