Abendroth: Land Trust

talks moving forward

Mequon — Mayor Dan Abendroth said in a phone interview Saturday that initial talks with the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust regarding purchase of the 42-acre parcel near the River Club of Mequon were promising.

The 42-acre plot is currently the subject of a development proposal for single-family homes, but Abendroth has said the land would be better used as open space, preserved by the land trust.
