Glendale considering

City Hall upgrades

Glendale — The Common Council on Monday approved a study which will bring back a detailed list of fixes for Glendale's nearly 60-year-old City Hall.

City administrators said the building, built in 1953, has foundation issues, doesn't meet fire code or Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, and the components of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system are all original.

"A lot of things are on their last legs," said City Administrator Richard Maslowski.

The study, not to exceed a cost of $35,000, will be conducted by a local firm and will yield capital projects that could be factored into the 2014 city budget.
