1Two males, not yet 21, were arrested one for absolute sobriety and one for underage drinking after their car was stopped for speeding 37 mph in a 25 mph zone in the 9100 block of North Tennyson Drive at 2 a.m. Aug. 5. The males, who admitted having a few drinks, had BACs of 0.05 and 0.08.
2A woman, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving after a report of a car driving over two yards, hitting bushes and trees, in the 9300 block of North Sleepy Hollow Road at 8:20 p.m. Aug. 9. The woman, who almost fell out of the car, spoke very little English and a translator was contacted. She failed to give a correct name or birth date and after vomiting was taken to a hospital to be checked and for a blood draw. She was later found to have registered two different names, one on her Facebook account and one on her cell phone.
3A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of 1.2 grams of marijuana and a parole violation after the car he was in was stopped for suspended registration in the 7400 block of North Sherman Blvd. at 10 p.m. July 26. The driver, who was cited for suspended registration, the man arrested and another passenger all denied ownership of the gun. Police kept it for “safe keeping.”
4A car was entered but nothing taken in the 4100 block of West Bradley Road July 28 or 29.
5Two Dodge Caravans were taken, one from the 8000 block of North 60th Street the afternoon of July 30 and recovered in the 3200 block of West Juneau Avenue July 31, and the other, not yet recovered, from the 9000 block of North 51st Street July 30 or 31.
6A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving after a 911 call reporting him drinking in a car in the 4600 block of West Brown Deer Road at 6:35 p.m. July 31. The man, who admitted drinking three to five shots of vodka, had a BAC of 0.15.
7A female, age and residence not released, was cited for receiving stolen property after she was found driving a car with a stolen temporary license plate in the 7900 block of North 47th Street at 4:10 p.m. Aug. 1. The female said the plate was given to her from an unnamed friend who got it from another unnamed friend. The plate had been taken from a car inGreenfield.
8Three catalytic converters with a total value of $1,300 were taken from cars parked at a business in the 7600 block of North Teutonia Avenue, Aug. 1 or 2.
9Two vehicles were reported stolen one from the 8900 block of North 55th Street and one from Brown Deer High School, 8060 N. 60th Street, Aug. 4, which was recovered, date not yet available, in the 6500 block of North 56th Street.
10A man and his wife, ages and residence not released, were each arrested, the man for theft and the woman for party to the crime of theft at Walgreens, 8615 North Port Washington Road, at 3 p.m. Aug. 2. The woman admitted that her husband had taken lotion and allergy medication valued at $86 from a Glendale Walgreens and that she was now attempting to return the items for cash. She also admitted they had done this type of thing before, including at a Walgreens in Cedarburg.
11Residents reported finding key scratches on a Ford Fusion in the 400 block of West Willow Court Aug. 7. They believe the damage of $500 happened on Aug. 6 when they posted photos of themselves on Facebook revealing they were away from home.
12A 28-year-old Waukesha man was arrested for driving a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent after he was found slumped over in a car in the Park and Ride lot, 5701 North Port Washington Road about 12:30 a.m. July 30. The car had been reported stolen in Waukesha.
13A 32-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft and four warrants after taking a pair of sunglasses valued at $285 from the Sunglass Hut, 490 W. Northshore Drive, at 7:12 p.m. July 30. The man tried to drive away but police were on the scene and stopped him.
14A 1998 Chrysler was reported taken from the first floor of a parking lot at 5801 N. Lydell Avenue at 1:25 p.m. July 31 and recovered at 2 p.m. in traffic with the ignition pulled out in the 1300 block of West Silver Spring Drive.
15A 37-year-old Glendale man was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, drunken driving and refusal to take a breath test after he was stopped for weaving in traffic and having an obscured license plate in the 5200 block of North Port Washington Road at 2:10 a.m. Aug. 1. The man said he had two beers while “kickin’ it at Potawatomi.” The man had $1,900 and some marijuana in his pocket. A search warrant was issued and more than 380 grams of marijuana were found in the car’s trunk along with a scale and baggies.
A 32-year-old Glendale man was arrested for battery/domestic violence related, after he choked and scratched his girlfriend at 3:40 a.m. Aug. 2. The man became angry when the women told him to leave.
16A 23-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for driving while suspended, with eight prior arrests, failure to have insurance and a warrant for driving while suspended after making an illegal u-turn in the 5700 block of North Port Washington Road at 7 p.m. Aug. 2.
17A 52-year-old Glendale man was arrested for drunken driving, driving while suspended and three warrants after a 911 call reporting an erratic driver in the 6000 block of North Green Bay Road at 8:40 p.m. Aug. 2. The man, found in the 7000 block of North Navajo Avenue, admitted drinking a half bottle of gin. His BAC was 0.20.
18A Chrysler Town and Country van was taken from the Radisson, 7065 N. Port Washington Road, Aug. 3 and recovered in the 1300 block of East Burnham Street Aug. 7.
19A man reported being the victim of an armed robbery of his Samsung Galaxy phone valued at $500 after setting up a meeting with a “buyer” found on Craigslist in the 4700 block of North Port Washington Road at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 4. The two men met and the “buyer” pulled out a gun, took the phone and fled. No injuries were reported.
20A man reported his Samsung Galaxy phone was taken after setting up a meeting with the “buyer” on Facebook in the 5400 block of North Port Washington Road at 10 p.m. Aug. 4. The man agreed to sell his phone for a pair of jeans, a hat and $175. The “buyer” arrived with three other men and the seller got into their car. They took the phone saying his items were in the trunk. He got out and the trunk was empty. The men then drove away.
21A 50-year-old Winnebago man was arrested for theft of men’s clothing valued at $393 from Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., at 5 p.m. Aug. 4.
22An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft of more than $740 of cash and clothing from his employer, Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., at 5:25 p.m. Aug. 4. The man in several incidents discounted sales or deleted transactions.
23A 19-year-old Waukesha woman was arrested for escort without a license, possession of 1.3 grams of marijuana and a felony warrant at Days Inn, 5485 N. Port Washington Road, at 2:21 a.m. Aug. 5. She admitted being a prostitute, saying she sometimes made up to $1,800 a night. She also said she’d cut off her ankle tracker.
24Two 17-year-old Milwaukee girls were arrested for theft from Kohl’s, Forever 21, Victoria’s Secret and Charlotte Russe, all in Bayshore Town Center, at 5:45 p.m. Aug. 5. The girls were stopped as they fled Kohl’s with items they hid in their purses valued at $143. They also had items taken from the other stores valued at more than $250.
No reportable incidents.
25Garbage and trash including a couch possibly belonging to residents in the 3900 block of North Murray Avenue were found in and around dumpsters at Columbia St. Mary’s, 1901 East Capitol Drive, at 4 p.m. July 31. Also reported was a dumpster had been moved, blocking an entrance.
26A 43-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for speeding 51 mph in a 30 mph zone in the 1100 block of East Capitol Drive at 5:40 a.m. Aug. 2.
27A Dodge Stratus parked on the street, value not available, was taken from the 1700 block of East Newton Avenue overnight Aug. 5 or 6.
28A warning was given after police found patrons inside Three Lions Pub, 4515 N. Oakland Ave., after hours at 2:20 a.m. Aug. 5. There were four people sitting at the bar, two of them drinking.
29A 27-year-old Shorewood man was mailed a citation for disorderly conduct after threatening and swearing at another resident in the 1500 block of East Beverly Road about 11:25 p.m. Aug. 5. The two men began to argue over one of them using the other man’s laundry detergent. No injuries were reported.
30A black powder revolver and jewelry, value not yet available, were taken from the 800 block of East Hampton Road overnight Aug. 2 or 3. Windows in the garage and house were broken and the master bedroom and other rooms had been rummaged through.
31A male, age and residence not released, was arrested for open intoxicants after a can of beer was found in his car at Big Bay Park, 5000 N. Palisades Road, at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 4.
32A lockbox with more than $90 was taken from a business in the 700 block of East Silver Spring Drive, July 16 to 31 and reported Aug. 5.
A Whitefish Bay man, age not released, was mailed a citation for disorderly conduct after a report of a domestic situation at 3:35 a.m. Aug. 6. No injuries were reported.
33A counterfeit $100 bill was passed at Starbucks, 302 E. Silver Spring Drive, during the day Aug. 6.
34A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving and speeding 45 mph in a 30 mph zone on North Lake Drive at East School Road at 9:50 p.m. Aug. 6. His BAC was 0.15.
35Both the men’s and women’s bathrooms were found damaged at Klode Park, 5900 North Lake Drive, at 8 a.m. Aug. 7. The sinks in both bathrooms were torn off or separated from the wall. The amount of damage was not yet available.
36A generator valued at $2,000 was reported taken from the 200 block of East Hampton Road Aug. 7. When the theft happened was not listed.
A resident reported being the victim of a fraud Aug. 7 after receiving a call from the “US Visa Office” saying he owed $2,100 in fines and to pay the fines, he should purchase CVS money cards and then give the caller the numbers. He did that and the money is lost.
37A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for driving while impaired after he was stopped for a defective brake light in the 6000 block of North Lake Drive at 3:41 a.m. Aug. 8. He was taken for a blood draw.
38Two males, ages and residences not released, were arrested for possession of 3 grams of marijuana after they were found on the beach at Klode Park, 5900 North Lake Shore Drive, at 10:25 p.m. Aug. 9.
39A man reported being the victim of a fraud in the 300 block of East Silver Spring Drive Aug. 9. He placed an ad on Craigslist to sell his Xbox One and met the “buyers,” described as black, about 20 and close to 6-feet tall with slim builds, at that location. They gave him $400 in counterfeit bills and left with his Xbox.
NORTH SHORE FIRE DEPARTMENT
Firefighters responded to 125 calls, 98 emergency medical and 27 fire/rescue, July 28 to Aug. 3.
40Firefighters responded to a mattress and bed fire in the 2100 block of West Daphne Road, Fox Point, at 12:18 a.m. July 29. A resident reported the mattress and blankets caught fire from incense burning next to the bed. It was extinguished and no injuries were reported.
Firefighters responded to 112 calls, 85 emergency medical and 27 fire/rescue, Aug. 4 to 10.
