BAYSIDE

1A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving and failure to obey a sign after making an illegal U-turn on a red arrow at Brown Deer and Port Washington roads at 2:40 a.m. March 2. When asked if he'd been drinking he said "one beer." He failed field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol content of 0.14.

BROWN DEER

2A Brown Deer woman was arrested for receiving stolen property in the 8300 block of North 46th Street at 4:45 p.m. Feb. 12. She was in possession of a cellphone taken from a student at UWM. That student came to the police department reporting that a woman called saying she had the phone and would return it for a $20 reward giving the address on 46th Street. A meeting was set up by an undercover officer who went to the home, gave the woman the money, got the phone and then arrested her.

3A bag with 4 grams of marijuana was found under a vending machine at Brown Deer High School, 8060 N. 60th St., at 2:15 p.m. Feb. 18.

· A Brown Deer woman, age not released, was arrested for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related and resisting/obstruction after she made verbal threats and scratched her husband at 8:40 p.m. Feb. 19. When police arrived, she then struggled with officers.

· A Brown Deer woman, age not released, was arrested for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related, after she screamed at and threatened her live-in boyfriend at 2:40 p.m. Feb. 20. No injuries were reported.

4Jewelry valued from $300 to $500 was taken from the 4900 block of West Wabash Avenue sometime 10:30 a.m. to noon Feb. 21. Damage was found on a rear door.

5A smartphone valued at $600 was taken from a locked men's locker at the YMCA, 9250 N. Green Bay Road, sometime 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Feb. 22.

6A window was broken and a car entered but nothing taken in the 4000 block of West Woodale Avenue between 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. Feb. 23.

7Two male students, ages and residences not released, were cited for disorderly conduct after fighting outside Brown Deer High School, 8060 N. 60th St., at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 24.

8A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for unlawful use of a computerized communication system after an employee reported "receiving inappropriate lewd and unwanted messages on her Facebook page" at Fox 6 Milwaukee, 9001 N. Green Bay Road, at 3:45 p.m. Feb. 24.

FOX POINT

9A wallet and contents including $30 cash and credit cards was taken from a building at Cardinal Stritch University, 6801 N. Yates Road, sometime Feb. 18. Before the theft was discovered charges were made for $8.50 at a gas station and more than $580 at a Target.

10A GPS unit, wallet and a construction hard hat valued at $135 were taken from an unlocked car in an underground garage in the 8700 block of North Port Washington Road sometime Feb. 20 to 22.

11A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft of a laptop computer valued at $800 from Best Buy, 8755 N. Port Washington Road, at 7:35 p.m. Feb. 28. An employee saw him put the laptop into his waist band and leave the store getting into a car and driving off. He was stopped about 20 blocks away denying he'd taken anything. The stolen laptop was found in the car along with two other laptops which were confiscated.

GLENDALE

12A catalytic converter and oxygen sensors valued at more than $1,500 were taken from a van in the 300 block of West Estabrook Boulevard sometime Feb. 10 to 12 and reported Feb. 26.

13Two rings valued at $6,000 were taken from the 1900 block of West Mill Road sometime Feb. 15 to Feb. 21. Guests had been in the home during that time.

14A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for burglary after a neighbor called 911 to report a burglary in progress in the 5700 block of North Dexter Avenue at 12:10 p.m. Feb. 19. When police arrived, three men were seen in a car leaving the residence and speeding away into Milwaukee before crashing in the 2700 block of West Villard Avenue. The men ran from the car but one was caught. They had taken a number of items including a TV and computer, value not listed.

15Two men, ages and residences not released, were arrested for theft and possession of marijuana after they took four T-shirts valued at $59 and fled Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 1 p.m. Feb. 20. They got into a car and drove away but were stopped. The car smelled of marijuana and 0.8 grams of marijuana was found.

16A smartphone valued at $800 was taken when left unattended at Bayshore Town Center, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, about 4:45 p.m. Feb. 20.

17A 25-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for escort without a license after police went on a website used by prostitutes and set up a "date" with her at the Baymont Inn, 5485 N. Port Washington Road, at 8:15 p.m. Feb. 20. The woman denied, at first, she was a prostitute but then admitted she had been doing business in South Dakota, Indiana, Michigan and Iowa but had just started in Wisconsin a few months ago.

18Two woman, 23 and 48, residences not released, were arrested for theft and possession of marijuana after they and another female were seen taking 12 pairs of eyeglasses valued at $2,128 from a display at Wisconsin Vision, 5530 N. Port Washington Road, at 6 p.m. Feb. 21. Two of the women were arrested at Charming Charlie while attempting to take three purses from that store. The eyeglasses were recovered in a nearby vehicle which was filled with stolen merchandise including makeup, hair care products, fish food and tools.

19A 28-year-old man, residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving, with two prior convictions, driving with a revoked license and bail jumping after failing to stop for a red light in the 700 block of West Silver Spring Drive at 2:35 a.m. Feb. 23. When asked if he'd been drinking the man said, "Of course. One drink." He failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.22.

20An 18-year-old man, residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving after a welfare check of a man "passed out" in a running car in the 7100 block of North Range Line Road at 2:45 a.m. Feb. 23. Vomit was all over the man and the front seat. When he awoke he told police he was sick because of something he ate. His BAC was 0.11.

21A strong-armed robbery with an undisclosed amount of cash taken was reported at Kaul Mart, 209 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 2:45 p.m. Feb. 25. A male in his 20s was in the store and when the employee opened the cash register, he reached in and grabbed money from the drawer and then fled. No injuries were reported.

22A 57-year-old man, residence not released, was arrested for theft of two bottles of whiskey valued at $102 at Pick 'n Save, 6969 N. Port Washington Road, at 5:40 p.m. Feb. 25. After he was arrested, the store reviewed surveillance video of a previous theft of two bottles of the same liquor on Feb. 19 which revealed it was the same man. He was then arrested for that theft as well.

23Two 17-year-old girls, residences not released, were arrested for escort without a license one at Baymont Inn, 5485 N. Port Washington Road, at 8:30 p.m. Feb. 25 and one at La Quinta, 5110 N. Port Washington Road, at 11:30 p.m. Feb. 26. In both instances, police set up meetings with the girls using a known website used by prostitutes.

RIVER HILLS

No reportable incidents this week.

SHOREWOOD

24A smartphone valued at $500 was taken from a second-floor student locker at Shorewood Intermediate School, 3830 N. Morris Blvd., during the day Feb. 21. There was no sign of forced entry to the locker.

· A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for battery/domestic violence related at 2:45 a.m. Feb. 22. The man punched his girlfriend causing minor injury.

25A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving, with four prior convictions, hit and run and resisting/obstruction after rear-ending a car stopped at a light in the 1200 block of East Capitol Drive at 10:28 p.m. Feb. 22. The man drove into a lot and when police arrived, he was "uncooperative" and refused to take field sobriety tests. A warrant was issued and he was taken for a blood draw.

· A resident reported that her identification was used to open a fraudulent credit card which was used to buy $250 of electronics Feb. 22.

26A van was entered but nothing reported taken in the 4400 block of North Oakland Avenue before 9 p.m. Feb. 23. A window was broken to gain entry.

27A wallet with credit cards and about $30 cash was reported missing at the Shorewood Library, 3920 N. Murray Ave., at 11:50 a.m. Feb. 24.

WHITEFISH BAY

28A 2001 Kia Sephia was reported stolen from the 4800 block of North Shoreland Avenue between midnight and 2:50 a.m. Feb. 23. It was located at CVS Pharmacy, 240 E. Hampton Road, about two hours later.

29Two males, ages and residences not released, were arrested for disorderly conduct and littering and one also for theft after taking money from a tip jar at Starbucks, 303 E. Silver Spring Drive, at 9 p.m. Feb. 23. One also threw coffee against an exterior window.

30An attempted burglary was reported in the 100 block of West Day Avenue sometime 10 p.m. Feb. 23 to 8 a.m. Feb. 24. A rear patio sliding door had signs of attempted forced entry.

31Ten guns, magazines, ammunition and cash, value not listed, were taken from the 900 block of East Colfax Place sometime 4:15 to 8:25 p.m. Feb. 24. Forced entry was made through a rear window.

32A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for possession of 0.2 grams of marijuana after taking an empty box and then walking away at Shabahang, 223 E. Silver Spring Drive, at 4:20 p.m. Feb. 25. The man entered through a rear alley door, picked up the box, which was empty, and left but was stopped about a block away.

33A female parent, age and residence not released, was mailed a citation for disorderly conduct after she threatened a teacher and another staff member in the main office of Whitefish Bay High School, 1200 E. Fairmount Ave., at 12:35 p.m. Feb. 26. According to a police report, the woman was "loud, verbally abusive and implied threats."

34A 2010 Hyundai Elantra reported stolen from an underground garage in the 300 block of East Henry Clay Street on Feb. 16 was recovered from a Milwaukee tow yard Feb. 28.

NORTH SHORE FIRE DEPARTMENT

· Firefighters responded to 114 calls, 80 emergency medical and 34 fire/rescue, Feb. 24 to March 2.

35Firefighters responded to a burning mattress in the 6200 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard, Whitefish Bay, at 9:20 p.m. Feb. 28. The resident said an electric blanket had shorted out causing the mattress to catch fire and he dragged it outside. An overheated extension cord was found and disconnected. No other damage was reported.
