BAYSIDE

BROWN DEER

1A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested on two counts of felony theft and one misdemeanor theft at Fidelity National Information Service, 4900 W. Brown Deer Road, at 9 a.m. Feb. 13. The man, an employee, was caught on surveillance video entering a safe and taking $2,505 Feb. 9. He admitted that theft and also taking $2,449 Jan. 26 and $2,899 Feb. 2. The man said he gave the money to his mother and his baby's mother and also bought himself some clothes. The company wants full restitution.

2Two 16-year-old Milwaukee girls were arrested for disorderly conduct for fighting after a basketball game at Brown Deer High School, 8060 N. 60th St., at 9:15 p.m. Feb. 12. The girls, neither one a Brown Deer student, were fighting over an ex-boyfriend. They pushed and punched each other falling to the floor and one grabbed the other's hair so tightly her fingers had to be peeled away.

3A 20-year-old Brown Deer woman was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest after the car she was in failed to stop at a sign in the 5300 block of West Dean Road at 12:30 a.m. Feb. 16. When police approached the car, there was an "overwhelming odor" of marijuana and the woman was told to exit and leave her purse behind. Instead she grabbed her purse and struggled with police. A scale, grinder and 2.8 grams of marijuana were in her purse. The driver, a 27-year-old Milwaukee man, was cited for failure to stop.

4A 21-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman both of Milwaukee were arrested for possession of marijuana and the man also for theft at Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, at 1:20 p.m. Feb. 16. The man had taken a pair of earrings and while in the loss prevention office, handed a plastic bag to the woman, his mother. The two then fled the store but were stopped. That bag, which the woman threw under a truck, held 5.7 grams of marijuana. When arrested, she yelled to her son, "You screwed up my life."

5A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed and possession of a facsimile firearm after causing a disturbance at Courtyard by Marriott, 5200 W. Brown Deer Road, at 1:45 a.m. Feb. 17. The man, who was at a party there, left the room and went to the desk demanding his money back for "his room." When told someone else paid for the room, he threatened the clerk implying he had a weapon and left the hotel. When stopped, he had a BB gun designed to look like a hand gun. In a related incident, a 16-year-old Milwaukee boy, who was at the party was cited for underage drinking.

6Two 12-year-old girls of Brown Deer and Milwaukee were cited for disorderly conduct after fighting in an art class that spilled into a hallway at Brown Deer Middle School, 5757 W. Dean Road, at 1 p.m. Feb. 19. The girls called each other names and yelled using profanities. One girl said the other was spreading rumors about her.

7A 32-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license after stopped for speeding 53 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 5100 block of West Brown Deer Road at 11:30 p.m. Feb. 20. When asked if he had anything in his pocket he said "a pot pipe."

A 17-year-old Brown Deer boy was arrested for damage to property/domestic abuse related after kicking in a door causing about $250 damage at 11:40 p.m. Feb. 21. The boy said he'd just come home and his mother was drunk and that was hard for him to live with. The woman, who did appear intoxicated, wanted her son arrested and signed the 72-hour no contact order.

8A 31-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for attempted kidnapping and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after attempting to take his daughter out of a day care facility in the 8700 block of North 51st Street at 9:20 a.m. Feb. 22. The man, who did not have custodial rights, had been baby-sitting his daughter until she was placed in day care by the mother. He had texted the mother "begging" to let him continue to be with his child. On Feb. 23, police obtained a search warrant for his car and found it filled with baby clothing, toys and more than 100 diapers along with his clothing and other personal belongings. In addition they found 0.7 ounces of marijuana, a pipe with residue and a grinder hidden in the spare tire hub of his car.

A 28-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related and intimidation of a witness after a neighbor called police reporting people yelling and fighting at 10:30 p.m. Feb. 23. The victim said she let the man, her ex-boyfriend, spend the night because he had no place to go. When she asked him to leave, he pushed her, spit wine in her face, took her cellphone and would not let her leave.

FOX POINT

9A woman, age and residence not available, was arrested for drunken driving, drunken driving with an underage person in the car, suspended registration for failure to pay parking tickets and violation of child safety restraints for a child 4- to 8-years-old after speeding 44 mph in a 35 mph zone in the 8700 block of North Port Washington Road at 3:43 a.m. Feb. 23. Two children were sleeping in the back seat neither of them restrained. The woman admitted drinking vodka telling police, "I did everything right but I shouldn't have drove." Her blood alcohol content was 0.12.

10Two females under the age of 21 were cited for underage drinking in their dorm room at Cardinal Stritch University, 6801 N. Yates Road, at 1:48 a.m. Feb. 24. One of the females was found in bed and said all she wanted to do was sleep. Her preliminary BAC was 0.17. The other female was unable to give a breath test.

A woman was arrested for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related after slapping her husband and causing a disturbance about 1 p.m. Feb. 24. The man called 911 after being slapped but then immediately called back saying the call was an error. However police went to the scene and the woman admitted slapping him. He waved the 72-hour no contact order. On Feb. 28, an Assistant DA issued a no process order and the arrest was canceled.

GLENDALE

11A woman reported that her stolen Quest Card was used to purchase $133 of items at Pick 'n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, about 11 a.m. Feb. 25. She had reported the theft of her wallet and that card to Milwaukee police Feb. 15.

A purse valued at $1,800 and contents including a $400 wallet, $150 cash and gift cards valued at $510 were taken from a locked locker at Wisconsin Athletic Club, 7601 N. Port Washington Road, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Feb. 13. She had used a locked furnished by the club and the locker had no sign of forced entry.

12A 22-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct after causing a disturbance at Buffalo Wild Wings, 590 W. Northshore Drive, at 11 p.m. Feb. 21. The woman swore at employees using profanities. She told police she didn't do anything wrong and when two plastic bags with 1.1 grams of marijuana were found in her jeans pocket, she said the jeans weren't hers. Another bag with 0.05 grams of marijuana was found in the squad car.

A resident reported receiving a phone call telling him he had won $100,000 in the Reader's Digest Sweepstakes and to send $200 via Western Union to Ford, N. J., at 2:40 p.m. Feb. 24. He was also told two women would be delivering the money Feb. 25. He did not send any money knowing this was a scam and no one came to his home.

13Two 18-year-old Milwaukee women were arrested for theft and one also for obstruction at Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 1:35 p.m. Feb. 25. An employee reported the theft in progress with the women filling bags and purses with items, value not available, and leaving the store. They were brought back in and now one of the women was carrying a child. She told police she purchased the items and had receipts, however, none of the receipts matched any of the items. She was then told she was under arrest and to put the child down. Instead woman held the child more tightly and struggled with police. She was taken into custody and the girl turned over to a relative. Both women are now banned from Bayshore.

14An $800 electronic tablet left visible in the front seat was taken from a car at Fed Ex, 5353 N. Port Washington Road, within 15 minutes of 10:40 a.m. Feb. 26. A window was broken to gain entry causing about $200 damage.

15More than $500 was taken from a combination safe at Fannie Mae, 6969 N. Port Washington Road, after 9 p.m. Feb. 26 and before 2:30 p.m. Feb 27.

RIVER HILLS

16A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, expired registration and unreasonable and imprudent speed after going more than 60 mph in a 30 mph zone in the 1600 block of West Brown Deer Road at 5:50 a.m. Feb. 28. When police tried to stop him, he accelerated, swerving in and out of his lane and finally stopping in Brown Deer. The man said he was on his way to a methadone clinic. He smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech. His BAC was 0.17.

SHOREWOOD

17An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for trespassing and then turned over to Milwaukee police as a crime suspect after walking into a home in the 1600 block of East Menlo Boulevard at 2:20 p.m. Feb. 22. The resident called police after hearing a noise at her front door and saw the man who asked her if he could charge his cellphone. The man was found with a black mask with the eye holes cut out.

18A 36-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving after stopped for erratic driving in the 4400 block of North Lake Drive about 1 a.m. Feb. 23. She told police she was downtown at the Kite Boat House. Her BAC was 0.12.

19A 55-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, a crack pipe with residue, and theft from Pick 'n Save, 4145 N. Oakland Ave., at 7:45 p.m. Feb. 25. The man walked out of the store with a bottle of laundry detergent and a basket of items including meat, value not listed.

20Construction tools valued at $2,318 including a saw and drill and nail guns were taken from a garage in the 4000 block of North Downer Avenue sometime Feb. 23 to 26. A rear window was broken to gain entry.

21Items valued at more than $50 including cologne and a doll were taken from an unlocked car in the 1900 block of East Kenmore Place early morning Feb. 27.

22Two Milwaukee women, 33 and 43, were arrested for theft after ordering and eating food including nachos, hot chocolate, orange juice and other things valued at more than $20 and then not paying at the Oakcrest Tavern, 4022 N. Oakland Ave., at 6 p.m. Feb. 28. They got into a van driven by a man but where stopped a few blocks away and cited and released.

WHITEFISH BAY

A 35-year-old Whitefish Bay woman reported being the victim of a scam at 4:20 p.m. Feb. 11. She went on line at Monster.com, an employment website, and was hired as a secret shopper and received a $2,350 check via Federal Express and told to secret shop/evaluate Walmart and Western Union. As directed, she deposited the check and spent $50 at a Walmart and then sent $1,900 via Western Union to Americo Simoes in New York City. On Feb. 11, she was informed the check she received was worthless and called police. On Feb. 14, the scammers sent her two $950 money orders. Each had been issued in early 2012, one for $215 and one for $27 and were worthless.

A 24-year-old Whitefish Bay man was arrested for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related and a 24-year-old Whitefish Bay woman was cited for obstruction and disorderly conduct about 11 p.m. Feb. 24. The woman called police saying her boyfriend had slapped her in the face during an argument. When police arrived, she said the man had left and she would not let police into the apartment. As they interviewed her in the hallway, she admitted the man was in the apartment but she didn't want him to get into trouble. They were both ordered into the District Attorney's office Feb. 25 where a no-process order was issued for the domestic violence and the man was charged just for disorderly conduct.

23A 22-year-old Glendale woman was arrested for drunken driving, no proof of insurance and failure to stop for a flashing red light at Hampton Road and Santa Monica Boulevard at 2:10 a.m. Feb. 26. The woman continued to drive while weaving in traffic almost hitting a curb. When stopped, she denied drinking but later said she had wine at 9 p.m. Her BAC was 0.13.

24A witness reported seeing a Milwaukee Transit bus hit a parked car and then drive away in the 5500 block of North Marlborough Road at 5:45 p.m. Feb. 27. A 56-year-old Milwaukee man, the driver of the bus, was notified of the accident.

A resident reported a call from "her grandson" who said he'd been arrested while attending a wedding in Mexico and asked her to wire transfer $6,000 so he could leave Mexico. She told the caller she would have to look into it and the caller hung up.
