Brittney Wilbourn and Alexander Dwyer are planning an Oct. 6, 2012, wedding at the Grain Exchange in Milwaukee.
Parents of the couple are Geoff and Carmen Wilbourn of Belleville and Mike and Kathy Dwyer of Whitefish Bay.
The bride-to-be earned her bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. She is a laboratory animal technician in the occular division of Covance in Madison.
The future groom earned his bachelor's degree in zoology from UW-Madison. He is a laboratory animal technician in the metabolism division of Covance. He will be attending the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in the fall.
The two met in 2010 at Covance and became engaged May 28, 2011.
