·Kelly Garcia of Brown Deer earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Carthage College in Kenosha in May.

·Kathryn Deroche and Danielle Levings of Whitefish Bay earned bachelor's degrees, in apparel merchandising, design and production cum laude and in psychology summa cum laude, from Iowa State University in Ames in May.

·Julian De Lia of Fox Point has been appointed professor of obstetrics and gynecology (maternal fetal medicine) at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. De Lia is internationally recognized for his work in complicated multiple pregnancies and twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome. He previously practiced at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-St. Joseph in Milwaukee, served as an associate proffer at MCW, and was on the faculty at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is the medical director for the International Institute for the Treatment of Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome. He earned his medical degree from the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1972.
