Village Spillage is an opinion blog about Whitefish Bay and the surrounding areas. It focuses on Village Government, elections, Silver Spring, and many other topics that aren't covered in the media.
Kevin Buckley serves as a Trustee for the Village of Whitefish Bay. The commentary within does not represent the official position of the Board.
This Friday & Saturday, Silver Spring is having their "Sidewalk Sale" from 9am-4pm both days.
If you missed the Silver Spring ribbon cutting, this is your chance to come down and see the new street. Local musicians will be at "select locations" for your entertainment.
One should note, two new businesses opened in the past two weeks.
MOBILITY - Mobility opened in the now relocated Milwaukee's Finest Guitar's location. Opened by a life-long Whitefish Bay native, John Lavelle.
Mobility is a full-service technology store. They are a cross between Best Buy, Flanners, and Geek Squad. Their store isn't fully stocked with goods yet, but they are doing decent business on home theater setups and PC repair.
They've got a ton of laptops for sale though, and told me they sell at prices competitive with chains like Best Buy. So if your kid is going to college in a few weeks and needs a laptop .. give these guys a shot.
They are currently offering a free PC diagnostic .. so if your PC is running slow, bring it to these guys, no charge.
NEVAEH MEDISPA - A spa for skin care, acupuncture, massage, facials, laser hair removal. Click on the link for more information. Nevaeh opened in the former Bucky Bairdo's. (Yes, I know that spot was occupied by Balia Wellness recently, but everyone knows that property as Bucky's!)
