Thank you for seeing how fascism is creeping into the U.S.
When I posted my previous blog about the sinister, secret moves by American capitalists to install a Nazi/fascist state in the U.S., and how American capitalists financed Hitler's rise to power, I thought I would be flooded with people who were suspicious of my statements or thought I was a nutcase. Instead, you recognized my years of study on this subject as a scholar and observer, and e-mailed me thanks and appreciation. I remember well speaking out at Hyde Park Corner in London about this, and having an Englishman who was a speaker there turning to the audience and saying about my remarks: "Ladies and gentlemen, we have just experienced a miracle: an American who knows what-the-hell he is talking about." Such is the impression Europeans have of our blindness to creeping fascist capitalism here.
Since my last blog pointed to the past and the examples of fascist/Nazi actions by American capitalists years back, allow me to up-date things and point to the revelations spelled out in a more recent book:
THE END OF AMERICA: A LETTER OF WARNING TO A YOUNG PATRIOT by Naomi Wolf.
Ms. Wolf is a respected author and speaker. Her book has been reviewed and commented about worldwide. "The Guardian" has been a mainstream English periodical that has highlighted its warnings.
Here are Naomi Wolf's chilling ten steps to indicate how we have moved quickly since George W. Bush became president toward a fascist state:
1. Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy.
2. Create secret prisons where torture takes place.
3. Develop a thug caste or paramilitary force not answerable to citizens.
4. Set up an internal surveillance system.
5. Harass citizens' groups.
6. Engage in arbitrary detention and release.
7. Target key individuals.
8. Control the press.
9. Treat all political dissents to be traitors.
10. Suspend the rule of law.
If that doesn't scare the daylights out of you, you will be a willing "citizen" to march in lock-step to the commands of fascist capitalism in the U.S.
"The book explains how this pattern was followed by Nazi Germany and Mussolini's Italy." Could it be anymore clear? How can we possibly deny these developments? And if you do not see how the ten steps are clearly implemented in the U.S., you are wearing blinders.
The history of fascism in America has been well documented historically. Now this book and others clearly spell out how it is being implemented today.
